About the role
Lead the evidence behind longer-lasting produce. Establish when, how, and under which conditions Karpolax preserves quality.
Responsibilities
- Set research priorities against grower, buyer, and product needs.
- Design controlled studies with appropriate comparators, endpoints, and analysis plans.
- Lead the science team and maintain reproducible research practices.
- Approve scientific conclusions and limitations before product claims are published.
Experience and skills
- Postharvest physiology and experimental reasoning
- Statistical interpretation and research leadership
- Clear scientific communication and evidence-led judgment
Equivalent practical experience is welcome.
First 90 days
- A prioritized research plan with evidence gaps and decision criteria.
- Baseline protocols and a controlled study of a priority crop and handling condition.
Working at Karpolax
We develop produce-preservation sachets and operate KarpoLink, a platform for fresh produce trade, quality analysis, and batch traceability.
Our operations are based in Uganda. Work location, contract type, pay, and travel requirements will be discussed before an offer.
